“Endure”

I met an “enduring warrior,” and he talked with me about enduring.

He lived solely to please the King.

The warrior made pleasing the King (by doing His will) his goal because he was taught that the deeds he did while on the earth, would outlive him and impact others for generations to come.

But in contrast, he saw many people achieve great things in their lifetime, but when they died, it all came to nothing. Their work did not endure.

The warrior made it clear to me that the will of the King was the only thing that would last. So I too made this my goal.

2 Corinthians 5:9 NIV

So we make it our goal to please him, whether we are at home in the body or away from it.
