“Simplicity”

I met a “simple warrior,” and he talked with me about simplicity.
He was an obedient disciple of the Wise Master.
His Master instructed him step by step. Though the disciple wanted to know much, the Master only gave him “simple” instructions in order to accomplish the desired task. Once he was “obedient” with the first thing, he was given the next.
“Do the simple thing that is given to you,” he said, “and don’t neglect it. Then you will be given the next; you can get to the next step, only after taking the first.”
